"Until such time as commercial flights re-commence or other countries' chartered flights become available to New Zealanders, we continue to encourage New Zealanders to stay safely where they are." Matharu said it had been a stressful situation, fearing there wouldn't be any commercial flights available for months. This includes sharing advice on other countries' repatriation flights such as the 20 New Zealanders in Chennai and 14 in Kolkata who we have already helped access Australian-led chartered flights.
