A trip across the world to visit an ailing mother has been scuppered by coronovirus fears. Christchurch-based Stuff reporter Will Harvie flew to Canada from New Zealand on March 11 to visit his 95-year-old mother in Calgary. Have you travel plans been affected by coronavirus? On his trip to Canada, the airports were quieter than usual, but the direct flight from Auckland to Vancouver was full. Harvie said Canada had stepped up its restrictions in a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
