Glenys Mahoney had surgical mesh implants and is dealing with ongoing debilitating pain. She’s exhausted – as anybody would be in her situation, and she’s terrified she’s just going to be left there. She applied for an emergency MIQ space on July 1, as applications must be made within 14 days of the departure date. The former radiographer was left with debilitating pain from surgical mesh complications after treatment for a pelvic organ prolapse 15 years ago. MIQ received 99 complaints about the emergency process in the month to July 14.
