PETALING JAYA: DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang (pic) has made it clear that he is not interested in becoming a minister but will continue to push for reforms to create a better Malaysia. China Press reported that the Iskandar Puteri MP declined to be in the new Cabinet, claiming that there were enough capable and talented people. In the current ministerial line-up announced by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, DAP has four ministers consisting of Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng, Transport Minister Anthony Loke, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission Minister Gobind Singh Deo and Human Resource Minister M. Kulasegaran. Previously, Lim was accused of harbouring intentions to be the prime minister if Pakatan Harapan won in the general election. He later went on to lead the party as the secretary-general and was later elected as party chairman succeeding DAP founding member Dr Chen Man Hin.
