Kisumu MPs have called for speedy investigations into allegations of vote buying ahead of the fresh presidential poll on October 17. They claimed on Tuesday that Jubilee sympathisers in the region have been buying IDs from residents and asked police to probe the matter. "Political rights are rights that cannot be controlled by any government agency. "We are not going to allow people’s political rights to be suppressed by Jubilee or their representatives." These unconstitutional acts of buying IDs and intimidating chiefs and all other useless things must stop."
