MobinThe incident occurred around 7am on Saturday in Tarakandi village in Pakundia Upazila, said Inspector Md Shamsuddin of the local police station.The dead have been identified as Taslima Begum, 35, her son Niloy, 10, and daughter Raisha, 8.An initial investigation found that college student Mobin, 25, had been feuding with his uncle’s family over the boundaries of their homes, said OC Shamsuddin.“Mobin hacked his aunt Taslima and his cousins Niloy and Raisha with a machete. Taslima and Niloy died on the scene. Raisha was taken to Kishoreganj Sadar Hospital, where she later died.”Locals detained Mobin immediately after the attack and turned him over to police, the OC said. Mobin was a postgraduate student at Kishoreganj’s Gurudayal Government College.A case over the incident is being prepared.
