Senate Speaker Amason Kingi on Wednesday declined to give senators an opportunity to grill Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki on the Shakahola deaths. Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei had stood on a point of order seeking the Speaker's indulgence for senators to ask questions about the Shakahola cult deaths. "At least you would have allowed us to ask some questions about Shakahola in your county....some of us are ready to ask questions on your behalf,'' Cherargei said. However, Kingi ruled that those with supplementary questions can submit them as substantive questions when the CS appears next time. "I have noted that some of these supplementary questions can be asked as substantive questions," he said.
