Sources say authorities are suspending face-to-face classes at kindergartens for 14 days starting Saturday. Secretary for Food and Health Sophia Chan Siu-chee said in the LegCo this morning that authorities are aware of the upper respiratory tract infection outbreaks at local schools recently, adding that they will look into the possibility of suspending classes. The Department of Health yesterday announced they have recorded 132 cases of upper respiratory tract infection outbreaks in the city this week, mostly at kindergartens and primary schools, affecting over 1,400 individuals.
