Kevin Zimmermann pulled over a car for having the wrong registration and found that the kids inside did not have their seatbelts on. Their mum, the driver, told him she did not have enough cash to buy child car seats as she needed the money to buy the youngsters winter coats and other items. Ms Jackson told the cop she was not able to get her car properly registered because of her financial situation. The department said: "The officer observed that the children in the car were not properly restrained and took it upon himself to purchase two car seats for her. “Thank you Officer Zimmermann for going the extra mile and going above and beyond your call of duty.”
