Nyandarua Governor Francis Kimemia is unhappy with the slow pace at which Thitai bridge is being rebuilt. The bridge, near Kariamu township along the Njabini-Ol Kalou road, was swept away by Malewa river in April. Kimemia acknowledged that while the quality of work was high, the slow pace had subjected residents to a lot of suffering and is hurting businesses in Ol Kalou town and other areas that depend on Njabini-Ol Kalou road. “From the word go, the work to rebuild the bridge was delayed. Kimemia disclosed that he had asked the Transport CS to construct a temporary bridge to alleviate the suffering of residents.
