However, Francis Mukuria Kinyanjui will stay in custody for 14 days to allow police to conclude their investigations. Magistrate Barbara Ojoo ordered that the bond terms granted to Mr Kinyanjui be applicable only after the 14 days. She said that despite the public outrage and protests the case elicited, the accused could not be denied his constitutional right to bond. On September 25, the Ongata Line Sacco vehicle veered off Lang'ata Road and overturned, killing four people and injuring six others.
