Kill Bill producer Lawrence Bender has said he “deeply regrets” the pain Uma Thurman suffered from her crash on the set of the film, but he did not participate in any “cover-up”. The 47-year-old actress was injured when her car hit a tree on the set of Kill Bill, the hit movie directed by Quentin Tarantino. In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Bender said: “I deeply regret that Uma suffered the pain she has, both physically and emotionally, for all of these years from the accident that occurred on the set of Kill Bill. It’s the biggest regret of my life, getting her to do that stunt. ”Tarantino said he did the drive himself to test the road was safe but when Thurman did the shot she drove in the opposite direction.
