Kilifi youth attack assembly leader over mass causal workers’ sackingsA decision by the county to sack 1,500 casual workers has raised tensions with locals blaming the Assembly leadership. On Thursday, a group of youth in the county confronted Assembly Deputy Leader of Majority Sammy Ndago (pictured). They claimed that under Mr Ndago's watch, 16 MCAs on Monday passed a resolution that led to the sackings. They later went to the assembly's premises where they poured garbageLed by Sokoni ward MCA Gilbert Peru, the youth also presented a petition to the assembly seeking to have the sackings revoked.
