The Kilifi county assembly has been closed for 14 days after a staff member tested positive for Covid-19. Kahindi made the announcement on Tuesday at the county assembly together with the county Assembly Clerk Michael Ngala and Leader of the Majority Kadenge Mwathethe. "I urge residents of Kilifi county to be vigilant and follow the Ministry of Health guidelines and Covid-19 prevention protocols." Kericho county assembly also suspended operations for 15 days after one staffer tested positive for the coronavirus. Machakos County Assembly speaker Florence Mwangangi has tested positive for Covid-19.
