more-inIn a joint operation with their counterparts in Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh, the city police on Friday rescued a three-year-old boy who had been kidnapped in Bengaluru last Tuesday. A team led by Inspector Srinivas verified Ali’s call record and tracked him to Yeshwantpur Railway Station. The police alerted the railway police and searched the railway station, but could not find Ali. After reaching Uttar Pradesh, Ali allegedly contacted Rahmath demanding a ransom of ₹50,000 in exchange for the safe return of his on. When Ali saw policemen at the meeting point that had been agreed upon earlier, he abandoned the boy and fled.
