Margaret told Bosco that he had abducted her daughter and forced her to be his wife. “I wanted to do a lot of damage and then kill myself,” Eunice told me. The day Eunice, Bosco and I first met, in July of 2012, we sat outside in their courtyard on small wooden chairs. As we talked, Eunice and Bosco told me how much they revelled in the tranquillity of the place. But, as Eunice told me, she and Bosco were “living together like people who were not forced to be together”.
