Kidero promises cheap housing for city teachers

PHOTO:WILBERFORCE OKWIRIGovernor Evans Kidero met more than 2,300 teachers in Nairobi and pledged to construct affordable houses to accommodate them. The teachers - drawn from public and private schools - were led by Hesbon Otieno, Kenya National Union of Teachers deputy secretary general. Speaking to The Standard yesterday, Otieno said Kidero committed to improve housing for teachers in the city. During the meeting that took place on Saturday last week, Kidero assured teachers that he will construct more classrooms.
