Ranchi: The principal of a private English-medium school in Tilaiya, Koderma, was arrested and sent to jail on Friday for allegedly raping a kindergarten student two days ago. A police officer at Tilaiya thana said Xavier took the six-year-old girl to the washroom on Wednesday and tormented her. "During initial interrogation, he (the principal) pleaded innocence and said he was too old to rape anyone. Relatives and neighbours also created ruckus at the school and manhandled the accused," the officer added. But, Xavier was appointed principal only a month ago.
