Kick It Out is facing a leadership crisis with the chief executive Roisin Wood expected to follow the chairman Lord Ouseley by leaving the antidiscrimination charity. Wood has been on leave due to ill health and has postponed a planned return to work next month after the Charity Commission opened an investigation this week into concerns about staff welfare at the organisation. Ouseley has offered to carry the can for Kick It Out’s past safeguarding failures after complaints from former employees about bullying but Wood’s position is also threatened.
