Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge of Sonadanga Model police station, Md Momtajul Haque said, Srabanti had filed a complaint with the Indian High Commission in Bangladesh. Acting on the complaint, SI MD Khalid Uddin of the police station filed a case on her behalf on November 16. On Thursday, police arrested the man and asked for a five-day remand before the court. However, the court approved a one-day remand, confirmed Radhe Shyam Sarker, Sonadanga police OC and investigation officer of the case.
