Khulna city polls: Khaleque vows development, Monju for putting people in power


The mayoral candidates of Awami League and BNP are carrying on their full-fledged campaign ahead of the Khulna City Corporation (KCC) election slated for May 15. With only 10 days left before the voting, Awami League-backed aspirant Talukder Abdul Khaleque has taken the development of the city as his main electoral pledge. He urged the citizens to choose him to realize the development Khulna city deserved. He began campaigning from the Mohsin intersection at 7:30am, going to the Doulatpur kitchen market, wholesale market, fish market and rail line areas. Campaigning at the city’s Bagmara area, he sought the people’s support and vote while promising rule of people and an accountable, democratic and transparent city corporation.
