Candidates are busy campaigning for the upcoming Khulna City Corporation polls scheduled for May 15. The mayoral candidates are contesting the elections under political affiliations while the councilor candidates are taking part in the polls without party lines. The candidates have already started putting up posters along the walls of city streets. Communist Party of Bangladesh candidate, Mizanur Rahman Babu, was also busy campaigning and holding street rallies on city thoroughfares. As many as five mayoral candidates, 147 councillor candidates in 31 wards, and 38 councillor candidates for 10 reserved seats, are contesting the polls on May 15.
