KUALA LUMPUR: Khazanah Nasional Bhd has announced the appointment of Tan Sri Md Nor Yusof as chairman of the Board Executive Committee (exco), effective December 5. Ahmad Zulqarnain, 45, is currently Khazanah’s investments executive director with coverage of its investments in Indonesia, Asean and the financial institutions group sector. Khazanah also announced the appointment of Tan Sri Andrew Sheng, who has been a board member since July 2008, as Khazanah Research Institute chairman effective November 29. Khazanah also announced the appointment of Yeo Kar Peng to its board, effective from December 5. Overall, Khazanah said the new appointments supplement its ongoing institutionalisation efforts as it continues to move forward in delivering its mandate as the government's strategic investment fund.
