Khanom krok stands out for its distinctive qualities — the rich aroma of coconut milk, a crisp exterior with a soft centre, and its meticulous preparation process — all of which embody Thai culinary wisdom passed down through generations. The success of khanom krok represented a collective achievement for the Thai people, particularly local communities, entrepreneurs and custodians of traditional dessert-making, she added. The Ministry of Culture has pledged to continue promoting Thailand’s cultural capital to generate both spiritual and economic value, she said.
