The vigilance department on Tuesday arrested a patwari (land and revenue department official) in Khanna on Tuesday after he was allegedly caught red-handed accepting a bribe of Rs 7,000. Following the complaint a trap was laid by the vigilance team and he was caught accepting the bribe in the presence of two witnesses. A first infromation report has been registered under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
