BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has received permission from prison authorities to keep Fatema, her domestic help, at her prison. Khaleda’s lawyer Sanaullah Mia said the court order was received on Sunday, although the request was made on Thursday. A senior official with the Department of Prisons said the permission for Fatema came along with the instruction to provide division status to Khaleda. The administration building of the old Central Jail on Nazimuddin Road was declared a sub-jail to accommodate the BNP chief.
