A Dhaka court has recorded the partial self-defence statement of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in Zia Orphanage Trust graft case filed by Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) in 2008. Judge Md Aktaruzzman of Dhaka Special Judges Court 5 recorded her partial statement Thursday morning. The court fixed November 9 for recording the rest of the statement. Earlier on October 27, Khaleda had given partial statement before the court in the case. The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the case in 2008 against six people, including Khaleda and her eldest son Tarique Rahman, for allegedly misusing Tk2.1 crore from the funds of the Zia Orphanage Trust.
