BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia left for London on Saturday on a 7:30pm Emirate flight for a medical check-up. Khaleda is being accompanied by her Personal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar and her domestic help Fatema Akhter on the trip. She also directed the party leaders to finish all pending work in preparation for the upcoming elections, including recruitment and district level visits, said BNP Vice-Chairman Mohammad Shahjahan. Khaleda is likely to spend Eid-ul-Adha with her son Tarique Rahman in London who has been living there since 2008. According to a party insider, BNP chief will also meet with Jamaat-e-Islami’s top leaders during her visit in London.
