KOTA KINABALU: A key road linking dozens of kampungs in rural Kiulu collapsed during the wee hours of Tuesday (Dec 10), as continuing rains begin to show threat of more landslides. Sabah Public Works Department director Datuk Richard Jomiji said the road was impassable to all vehicles and advised motorists to take alternative roads. He advised the use of alternative kampung roads through Jalan Kiulu Lawa Mondou, Jalan Kiulu Logkou Lama or Jalan Bungalio Logkou Timbok as a temporary measure. He urged the public not to attempt to use the damaged section of the road, as it was dangerous. Motorists have also been advised to use alternative kampung roads as PWD is working out plans to repair the collapsed section of the road.
