Two key routes between Alberta and British Columbia were closed Wednesday morning because of wildfire smoke and a serious collision. Highway 1 was closed in both directions for several hours because of a serious collision 25 kilometres east of Golden, B.C. Highway 93, meanwhile, is closed in both directions, from Castle Mountain Junction in Alberta to Radium Hot Springs in B.C., because of forest fires in the area, according to DriveBC. Please use alternate route," Alberta Transportation says on its Alberta 511 website.
