Today’s piece is focused on what I believe should be some of the key ICT priorities for 2018 and I believe we should treat them with utmost importance. Getting serious with the National Broadband PlanThe 2013-2018 National Broadband Plan was an attempt to introduce new initiatives to address the importance of broadband towards attaining the country’s developmental goal – Vision 20:2020 – and increase fixed broadband penetration to 30 per cent by 2018. With increase in accessibility to broadband, businesses will grow and government will earn and collect more revenues in taxes. I commend Lagos State and the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund for the Lagos Innovate project kicking off later in 2018.
