NBA free agent forward Kevin Durant, 27, has announced on The Players' Tribune that he's leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder after nine seasons to sign with the Golden State Warriors. Durant's decision will draw inevitable comparisons to LeBron James' villainizing "The Decision," and he'll receive criticism as a "hypocrite" because of an old tweet. On his own, Durant gained philanthropic and business experience in Oklahoma City using his starpower, money and genuine desire to help others. Oklahoma City and the Bay Area present profoundly different life experiences. With this in mind, I have decided that I am going to join the Golden State Warriors.
