Keramat tahfiz fire: 'My son was reluctant to study there'

Still trying to cope with the loss, life dealt the mother of four with another cruel blow when her eldest son, Muhammad Fahmie Abdullah, 11, perished in the tragic fire incident at the Darul Quran Ittifaqiyah tahfiz school at Jalan Keramat Unjung, Kuala Lumpur on Thursday. She added that her son had requested to change to another tahfiz school which is nearer to their house in Taman Paroi Jaya here. But he seemed a bit reluctant and had told us that he didn’t have a good feeling about studying there,” said Noor Azlina, who last met her son two weeks ago. Noor Azlina added, her son had requested for ‘pulut kuning’ (yellow glutinous rice) and chicken rendang, which she had planned to send to his tahfiz school this Sunday. She added, she had also planned to send her second son, Muhammad Farish Abdullah, 10, to the same tahfiz school, as requested by Muhammad Fahmie.
