The views make the climb all worth it during the Kepler Challenge race. The Kepler Track will be open this weekend despite Kepler Challenge organisers changing the course to heed wild weather warnings. The Department of Conservation manage the Kepler Track and say it will be open this weekend. Elsmore travelled from Christchurch for the event and had been looking forward to completing the full Kepler Track loop.
