Kenyans took to social media to laud the act, with many terming the Cord allied senator’s move as a good gesture of humanity. Kenyans on social media lauded Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale, after he reached out to help Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri when he fainted at Milimani law courts on Friday. Ombeta lamented over the poor conditions at Pangani police station, saying it was the main reason the MP fainted. "My client is feeling unwell due to pretrial punishment that he was subjected to," said Ombeta. He however fainted a few minutes before he pleaded to charges, which he later denied.
