Ragira was killed on Thursday evening at Club 36 market located opposite Nairobi Primary School. A number of leaders and social media influencers strongly condemned his killing and urged police to look into the matter. “The killing of the University of Nairobi student leader is very barbaric. On social media, many lauded the deceased as a passionate young man who fought for the rights of UoN students. Former SONU chairman and current Embakasi East MP Babu Owino also mourned his death saying: “I strongly condemn the killing of one comrade Samuel Ragira who was shot today at club 36 at the University of Nairobi.
