A Kenyan man is among three suspects arrested in Uganda in a gold smuggling syndicate. William Akitale was arrested on Wednesday at the Kenya-Uganda border by customs officials working together with Interpol officers. A statement from Uganda police to Interpol Nairobi issued last evening said the suspects had travelled from DRC congo. Interpol East-Africa has been conduction an operation across East African countries to deal with illegal gold smugglers.
