Sections of Kenya's parliament were on fire on Tuesday as protesters overwhelmed police to storm the compound where lawmakers had just passed a contentious bill that would introduce a raft of new taxes, a witness said. One paramedic said at least 50 people had been injured by gunfire. Another witness reported seeing five bodies. The Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) said it witnessed police shooting four protesters, killing one.
