Earlier, a section of leaders from Kirinyaga called on the deputy president to pick ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi as his running mate. Azimio One Kenya has ODM's Raila Odinga as its presidential candidate, the task now being the selection of his running mate. Among the running mate aspirants are former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth, Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua and Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka. Raila's running mate attracted several leaders in the coalition, including Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka. He cancelled his campaigns for Raila, demanding that the running mate position should be his.
