On Friday, January 28, the newspapers reported ODM leader Raila Odinga downplayed the recent move by ANC boss Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya's Moses Wetang'ula to join hands with his political nemesis William Ruto. The Azimio la Umoja leader stated he would march on with his State House journey despite the setback. The presidential aspirant announced the Azimio la Umoja movement would be registered next week. Trans Nzoia woman rep Janet Nangago was among the leaders who joined the new outfit affiliated to the Azimio la Umoja. Taifa LeoNarc Kenya party leader Martha Karua is set to embark on popularising her party ahead of the August 9 General Election.
