Daily NationThe Daily spotlighted the events in Thika Stadium on Sunday, March 13, when the deputy president held a mega rally in the company of other Kenya Kwanza politicians. The highlight was Ruto's political tantrums after his boss officially and publicly declared he would be backing Raila Odinga's presidential bid. North Easter comprising Mandera, Wajir, and Garissa counties, Maa counties comprising Samburu, Narok, and Kajiado, and Lamu, Isiolo, and Meru could all shape the contest. Others are West Pokot which largely voted for Uhuru, and Taita Taveta, a presumed Raila's vote basket and into which the deputy president has been making inroads.
