The Bill proposes a raft of changes to the Political Parties Act, including allowing the creation of coalition parties six months to a general election, defining a political party and providing for the expulsion of errant members. According to the highly-placed sources, also affected are 41 parliamentary staff, who accompanied the lawmakers to the East African parliamentary games in Arusha. The StandardSome 1,963 teachers have been promoted following interviews conducted last month by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC). The promoted teachers will fill vacancies ranging from Grade C2-TSC Scale 7 (Senior Teacher 2) to Grade D5 TSC Scale 15 (Chief Principal).
