Kenya has waived visa requirements for South Sudan citizens. In a statement on Monday, the ministry said the waiver demonstrates the strong partnership and cooperation between the two countries. South Sudan has in turn also waived visa requirements for Kenyans wishing to visit their country. Early in the year, President Uhuru Kenyatta informed President Salva Kiir during a summit that his country will lift all movement restrictions for South Sudanese. He stated that South Sudanese, like other East Africans, are free to do business or even social activities without unnecessary hindrances while in Kenya.
