Kenya national Under-20 football friendly against Egypt earlier scheduled for February 20 at Safaricom Stadium, Kasarani, will now be played on the same day away in Cairo. The team, which jets in from Senegal in the wee hours of today, will leave for Cairo on Saturday for the friendly, according to information from Football Kenya Federation. “The objective of the friendlies is to prepare the team for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics,” said the statement from FKF. While in Senegal, the John Kamau coached side played two international friendlies against the West African side last week, losing 2-0 and 4-0 respectively. Since then, the FKF have been keen to ensure their pleas go through mandatory certified MRI scans to ensure the players chosen to feature for the national teams in the age group category are within the set age limits.
