Kenya to host African cleft lip and palate scientific congress


Cleft lip affects one in 700 children. [File, Standard]Leading African medical experts will convene in Nairobi to share key learnings related to cleft lip and or palate treatment and comprehensive cleft care. Kenya is set to host the Pan African Association of Cleft lip and Palate (PAACLIP) 6th Scientific Congress on March 25 to 27. Smile Train says it is keen on sustainable empowerment programmmes that give local medical partners the opportunity to build capacity. Globally, one in every 700 children is born with a cleft lip or palate.
