Kenya on Friday recorded the highest numbers within 24 hours since the pandemic struck last year. On the day President Uhuru Kenyatta reintroduced the cessation of movement in five counties, the country recorded 2,008 new Covid-19 cases from a sample size of 11,360. The total confirmed cases now stand at 128,178, with the cumulative tests conducted so far being 1,455,061. The total number of recoveries in the country now stands at 91,513. The country lost six patients, all of whom are late death reports from facility record audits that occurred on diverse dates.
