Kenya on Friday recorded 442 new cases of Covid-19, raising the country's total to 40,620, Health CAS Rashid Aman has confirmed. Another 166 patients have recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country so far to 30,876. A total of 140 of those discharged are from the home-based programme, while 26 were discharged from various health facilities. For the first time, Nakuru takes the lead of coronavirus positives in a day recording 94 cases. Other counties with new cases include; Nairobi with 80 cases, Mombasa 47, Embu 20, Kisumu 20, Meru 15, Garissa 12, Kajiado 11, Kericho 10, Kwale 2 and Bungoma 1.
