Kenya on Wednesday recorded 3,297 new cases of Covid-19, bringing the country's case load to 288,951, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe has said. Kagwe said that there are 835 patients currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 21,692 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program. Some 39 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 19 of them on ventilatory support while 20 are on supplemental oxygen. Meanwhile, 236 patients have recovered from the disease, 173 from the Home-Based Isolation and Care program while 63 are from various health facilities countrywide. Total recoveries now stand at250,963 of whom 202,075 are from the Home-Based Care and Isolation program, while 48,888 are from various health facilities countrywide.
