Kenya on Friday recorded 488 new cases of Covid-19, bringing the country's case load to 174,773 , Health CS Mutahi Kagwe has said. The CS in a statement confirmed that this was from a sample size of 5,831 recording a positivity rate of 8.4 per cent. The country's fatalities have risen to 3,378 after another 16 patients succumbed to the disease. Some 162 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 30 of whom are on ventilatory support and 113 on supplemental oxygen. Another 106 patients are separately on supplemental oxygen with101 of them in General Wards and 5 in High Dependency Units (HDU).
