Kenya became the first nation to win the inaugural AFCON Under 16 Competition on Saturday after beating Nigeria 3-2 in post-match penalties. The final tally was 0-0 and the game was forced into post-match penalties. The match took place at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru. Jacob Onyango was awarded the Golden Boot after netting five goals in The AFCON U16 tournament. Kenya took the Golden Boot and Gloves, while Nigeria got the Best Player slot.
